When you go somewhere you haven't been before, there are always lots of things you want to know. Here are some of the more common questions people ask about us:
WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE WHEN I VISIT OCC? Well, our guests usually comment on a few things. But generally, our friendliness, relevant messages, casual atmosphere, and live worship experience seem to be at the top of the list.
WILL MY CHILDREN ENJOY COMING? Yes! City Kids, our children's ministry, is for age 3 up to Grade 6, and takes place during both morning services on Sundays, as well as meeting in small groups on Wednesday nights (during the Highway to Maturity adult ministry). We work hard to ensure a safe, friendly, fun, faith-filled environment for your children, because kids matter.
WHAT DO YOU OFFER FOR TEENS? Crossfire Youth meets every Friday night at 6:30. We believe that given the right opportunities, our youth can change the world. Crossfire nights include a student-led live worship band, passionate messages, and small group experiences. Our Crossfire Café also opens at 5:30 for free pizza. Additional small groups meet at other times throughout the week.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED? When new people come to OCC, many want to start serving in a ministry area right away. We encourage you to take some time to get to know us first, and there are plenty of opportunities for that. Whether you participate in our Open House Vision Day, one of our small groups, the Highway to Maturity, or elsewhere, take time to meet some people, learn what you can about us, and ask lots of questions. Once you've become acquainted with OCC's vision and leadership, we can talk more about serving in one of the many areas that OCC has to offer.
WHO IS OCC AFFILIATED WITH? We are a non-denominational and autonomous local church, and our pastors belong to Minister's Fellowship International. For more information on MFI, click here.
