"Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Takin' a break from all your worries sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away....
Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came.
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same.
You want to be where everybody knows your name." -Theme song from Cheers.
When you go to church, you're hoping to connect. With God. With others. You want to experience the presence of God, to hear His voice, and to be reminded again that He is there.
You also want to enjoy the company of others who are with you on the journey - to do life together, to grow together, and to serve our community, side by side, in a tangible way.
At OCC there are lots of ways to connect. Our Small Groups, Highway to Maturity, Open House Vision Day, and serving in one of our many ministry areas are some great ways to do this. Once you take that first step, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
